🌿 The Story of Thanima Creations

Thanima Creations began in 2025 with a simple yet inspiring initiative led by Anju Ajeesh during an International Women’s Day celebration in her community.

While honoring a few successful women entrepreneurs, a thought stayed with her —“Why not empower homemakers around us to become entrepreneurs too?”

That thought became the beginning of a meaningful journey.

🎨 From Initiative to Movement

Anju started by learning traditional Kerala art forms such as Nettipattam making and other handcrafted décor. She sourced authentic materials directly from Kerala and began training 10 homemakers in her community.

Within a few months, the initiative grew —10 more women joined, and soon, many others came forward with interest and enthusiasm.

Today, Nettipattam and Alavattam products are handcrafted by talented, trained women from Bangalore, combining traditional techniques with dedication and pride.

🏺 The Turning Point

As these handcrafted products reached customers, the response was overwhelming. There was a strong demand for authentic Kerala décor items, made with traditional techniques and genuine materials.

Seeing this opportunity, Anju envisioned a larger platform —one that could connect artisans, homemakers, and customers.

🤝 Building Thanima Creations

This vision led to the birth of Thanima Creations — an online platform dedicated to:

  • Sourcing authentic Kerala art and décor directly from artisans

  • Supporting craftsmanship from regions like
    Aranmula, Mannar, Kuthampully, and Balaramapuram

  • Empowering Bangalore-based trained women to create handcrafted products

  • Bringing tradition into modern homes

🌱 More Than a Business

Thanima Creations is more than just a brand —
it is a platform of empowerment, tradition, and purpose.

A simple idea has now grown into:

  • A creative and income opportunity for many homemakers

  • A support system for skilled artisans

  • A bridge between Kerala’s heritage and modern lifestyle

Our Belief

When women are empowered and traditions are preserved, every creation becomes meaningful.
